The answer to what ails our culture is not in speaking like the culture, playing the music of the culture, dressing like the culture, or raising the self-esteem of the culture. The answer for the darkness that has engulfed our culture is to cry loudly with our words and our lives that Jesus Christ is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. Engage the culture with the light of the truth and a not truth that is hidden so deeply within our cultural relevance that it cannot be found. If we are not suffering persecution for Christ we are not serving Him. Paul said that all who would live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. Are we suffering persecution? If not then we are not engaging our culture in the manner in which we are called to. God help us to awake out of our sleep.
